First published in February 1942, this is the 6th print from June of the same year in an unclipped, 5th edition dust wrapper.

Dedicated to Lewis's friend and colleague J.R.R. Tolkien, 'The Screwtape Letters' is a timeless classic on spiritual conflict and the invisible realities which are part of our religious experience.

Condition

Publisher's original cloth binding present with clear label with title to spine, clean with straight corners. Ever-so-slight wear to extremities. Little foxing to edges and prelims. Hinges and joints strong with pages tightly bound. Small inscription in pen to FFEP and light spotting throughout, otherwise internally immaculate. Presenting well in a very good, unclipped dust wrapper with clean, but lightly foxed panels. Tanning to spine. Some chipping to extremities with a little loss to head of spine. A very nice example. The dust jacket has now been placed in 50-micron sleeves of archival quality to protect it in the future (it can be easily removed if desired).
