Our Service to You

Sancho's Rare Books offer an unconditional guarantee of every item’s authenticity and completeness as described in the individual item's condition report. We take great care when when collating all our books and ensure to note any defects in our published descriptions.

All shipped items are carefully packaged, sent by tracked delivery, and insured in transit. We abide by the ABA Code of Good Practice, and we pledge to guarantee the authenticity of all items offered for sale, the accurate and professional identification and description of all our books, the disclosure of all significant restoration and repair that we identify, the clear, informed and professional pricing of all material, and the fairness and honesty of offers to purchase.

The price of our items includes VAT (where applicable) at the applicable current rate chargeable in the UK for the time being. Currently, printed books are zero-rated for VAT in the UK, and so we do not charge VAT.

The prices of our items will be as quoted on our site or as otherwise communicated to you by a member of our staff. We take all reasonable care to ensure that published prices of items are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. However, if we discover an error in the price of the item(s) you ordered, we will inform you promptly of this error and we will give you the option of continuing to purchase the item at the correct price or cancelling your order. We will not process your order until we have your instructions. If we are unable to contact you using the contact details you provided during the order process, we will treat the order as cancelled and notify you in writing.

All items remain the property of Sancho's Rare Books until payment is made in full. All our prices are in British pounds. We accept PayPal and most major Credit and Debit cards. We do not accept instalments and/or deferred payments.

Delivery

We ship worldwide to most countries, and postage or shipping is at the buyer's expense, as advised during the check-out process. Both domestic and international shipments will be sent by post and/or courier with full tracking details. Delivery will be completed when we deliver the Items to the address you gave us.

Please note that if you order items from our site for international delivery, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes which are applied when the delivery reaches that destination. Please note that we have no control over these charges and we cannot predict their amount. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order. You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country for which the items are destined. We will not be liable or responsible if you break any such law.

All orders placed before 18:00 on a working day (no Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) are despatched the next working day unless otherwise advised. Orders placed after 18:00 on a working day will be despatched within the next two working days. For example, an order placed on a Monday at 17:30 will be despatched on Tuesday, while an order placed on a Monday at 18:30 will be despatched on Wednesday.

Unless otherwise specified at check-out, shipping charges will be shown at check-out and are based on the weight and size of the parcel. Within the UK, standard delivery can take up to 4 business days from despatch, while express delivery up to 2 business days from despatch. Internationally, delivery may take up to 7 working days, however this may take longer depending on potential customs holds and courier delays. We confirm despatch by email and provide tracking numbers. We do not offer in-person collection.
