Publisher’s black cloth, gilt lettering and rulling to the spine, illustrated on front cover by Tolkien, depicting a Numenorean throne, with “Elendil” set in Tengwar to the centre, in gilt, silver and green, all edges speckled. In the original onion skin paper wrapping. All housed in the original publisher’s tray case with label with titles to front.
The seventh impression of this De Luxe edition, printed on India Paper and containing 'The Fellowship of the Ring', 'The Two Towers' and 'The Return of the King', all bound into one single one-inch-thick volume. With maps.
A near-fine book, with only a few light shallow creases to one or two pages, and a little creasing to the extremities of the maps (at the extremity which is tucked into the book, as pictured); else fine, with pages clean, bright and tightly bound, and no external wear. Protected by a wrapper which has seen better days and has some marks and tears, but that has done its job of protecting the book well. In a tray case that is worn to extremities and has a split corner, as well as a lightly tanned label, but is otherwise structurally sound.

We do our best to describe items as accurately as possible. All our books can be returned within 14 days of receipt, whether they have been found to be not-as-described or you have simply changed your mind about the purchase. Returns are only free when items have been found to be not as described.
