Translated by Robert Fagles, introduction and notes by Bernard Knox, illustrated by Grahame Baker (later Grahame Baker-Smith). Maps by Anita Karl and James Kemp. 253 × 179 × 49 mm. Pp. [i–v] vi [vii–xi] xii–lxxxv [lxxxvi–xcii], [1] 2–596: [8] leaves of colour plates (facing pp. [iii], 20, 64, 180, 268, 356, 404 and 484). Type: Centaur and Arrighi. Printed by the Saint Edmundsbury Press, the plates by the Amadeus Press. Bound by Hunter and Foulis in quarter dark-red buckram, pale brown cloth boards with a design in dark brown by Baker; pale brown endleaves with the map in dark brown. Dark red slip case. The illustrator became known, for Folio purposes, as Grahame Baker-Smith from 2011.

The illustrator became known, for Folio purposes, as Grahame Baker-Smith from 2011.

Near-fine copies, with bindings square and firm, and pages clean and uninscribed. In like slipcase with a little shelf-wear (one with a light bump to one corner).

All orders placed before 18:00 on a working day are despatched the next working day unless otherwise advised. Orders placed after 18:00 on a working day will be despatched within the next two working days. The shipping fee is calculated at check-out based on parcel weight and destination. A tracking number will be provided once the order is ready for despatch.

Please note that we have no control over these charges and we cannot predict their amount. You will be solely responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes.

We do our best to describe items as accurately as possible. All our books can be returned within 14 days of receipt, whether they have been found to be not-as-described or you have simply changed your mind about the purchase.
