The Great Divorce, A Dream, by C. S. Lewis. London: Geoffrey Bles, 1945. First edition, first impression of C. S. Lewis' novella based on a theological dream vision of his in which he reflects on the Christian conceptions of Heaven and Hell. Octavo (19 x 13cm), pp.118 [2]. Publisher's yellow cloth with black titles to orange backing on spine; in unclipped dust wrapper showing price 7s. 6d. net. to front flap.

Light bumping to corners and crushing to spine tips, a bit of wear and darkening to extremities, and light cocking to spine; else a clean, uninscribed example with pages bright and tightly bound. In a good, unclipped dust wrapper that is lightly worn and nibbled to extremities, tanned to spine and with a one-inch portion of loss to head of spine. A nice copy overall.
