The Adventures of Pip & More Adventures of Pip, by Enid Blyton (2). London: Sampson Low, 1948. First edition, first impression. Illustrated by Raymond Sheppard. Orange textured bright boards with gilded text and illustrations. Boards are immaculate with virtually no marks or spotting, only some slight tears on the back board of the first title. Gilding slightly worn in some spots. Corners are straight, however spines slightly bumped. Previous owner's inscriptions on the front and back free end-papers on both books. Text block showing mild foxing, and some pages lightly tanned and foxed. Light cocking to spines. Content is clean, legible and the book is complete. Both books are housed in very good, price-clipped dust wrappers with minimal chipping to head and base, a little loss, slightly foxed inside and with some rubbing present to extremities and joints.

[together with]

Loosely inserted card signed by author Enid Blyton. On the verso of the card is a handwritten description by the previous owner of Enid Blyton's biographical details. This card came as part of a large collection of letters, photographs and cards signed by prominent authors and playwriters, amassed in the 1970s and 1980s by collector Neil Walden.
