Notes

A comprehensive exploration from one of the world’s foremost classicists of the Roman Empire's history, spanning from its legendary beginnings to the third century AD. Beard delves into Rome's political, social, and cultural developments, challenging traditional narratives and offering fresh insights into the lives of both the elite and ordinary citizens. Through vivid storytelling and meticulous research, she examines Rome's enduring influence and the complexities of its legacy, making ancient history accessible and engaging for modern readers.

Condition

Very Good+ hardback with slightest crushing to spine tips and corners; otherwise clean and uninscribed. In like dust wrapper that shows lightest creasing to extremities. A really lovely example of this increasingly rarer signed first edition.
