London: The Folio Society, [2021]. 253 × 174 × 42–49 mm. 3 vols (see below). Type: Century. Printed and bound by Graphicom in full dark blue speckled silver cloth, printed and blocked in silver. Silver top edges; pale blue endleaves. Pale blue-white cloth slip case with label blocked in silver (titled as above) and lined with printed paper. Colour plates primarily reproducing watercolours by George Marston are accompanied by plentiful photographs from the Nimrod and Endurance expeditions in black and white plates plus further images in the text. Loosely inserted are three folded maps and two panoramas on one folded sheet contained in a protective dark blue paper wallet titled in silver. Although dated ‘2021’ on the title-pages, it was not ready until the following year.
The three volumes are as follows:

[3] Sir Ernest Shackleton, South, The Story of Shackleton’s Last Expedition 1914–1917, illustrated with photographs by Frank Hurley. Pp. [i–iv] v–xxi [xxii], [1–2] 3–370. A folded map of the voyage taken by the Endurance and the subsequent relief attempts is loosely inserted in a corner pocket pasted onto the back endleaf.
Condition
The set is in new condition, and will come wrapped in its original Sylvicta paper from The Folio Society. It has only been removed from its wrapping paper to photograph and ensure it is in fine condition. There are no bumps, nor dents. A fine-looking set. The first three photos are of the actual item you will receive, while the last ones are stock photos for illustrative purposes.
The set will be shipped in its original box from The Folio Society, but will be double boxed to ensure it stays safe in transit.
