Here is a wonderful set of seven historical non-fiction books written by English author and popular historian and co-host (alongside Dominic Sandbrook) of the world's most popular history podcast (The Rest Is History) Tom Holland, all first editions (with some later impressions), most signed by the author. A rather unique set comprised of:

1. Rubicon: The Triumph and Tragedy of the Roman Republic - Little, Brown 2003. First Edition & Print - NOT SIGNED - In unclipped dust wrapper

2. Persian Fire: The First World Empire and the Battle for the West - Little, Brown 2005. First Edition, Third Print - SIGNED by author to title page - In unclipped dust wrapper

3. Millennium: The End of the World and the Forging of Christendom - Little, Brown 2008 First Edition, Fourth Print - SIGNED by author to title page - In unclipped dust wrapper

4. In the Shadow of the Sword: The Battle for Global Empire and the End of the Ancient World - Little, Brown 2012. First Edition, First Print - NOT SIGNED - In unclipped dust wrapper

5. Dynasty: The Rise and Fall of the House of Caesar - Little, Brown 2015. First Edition, Second Print - SIGNED by author to title page - In unclipped dust wrapper

6. Dominion: The Making of the Western Mind - Little, Brown 2019. First Edition, First Print - SIGNED by author to half-title page - In unclipped dust wrapper

7. Pax: War and Peace in Rome's Golden Age - Abacus (Little, Brown) 2023. First Edition, First Print - SIGNED by author to half-title page - In unclipped dust wrapper

As all books are in a similar condition, these are described together, as follows. Boards and spines are in very good condition with no marks and only slight bumping to head and tail of spine (small white, perhaps chalk, mark to the lower portion of the spine on Persian Fire, and slight nick to the bottom of the spine on the In the Shadow of the Sword volume). Very light bumping to one or two corners, as pictured. Minimal handling marks to edges, as photographed, and slight foxing to Millennium, a little warping and some earmarks and dings to the Shadow volume, and a couple of small marks to the fore edge of Dominion. Internally all immaculate with no previous owners' inscriptions or marginalia. Pages are tightly bound and all maps are present. Complete examples.

All presenting excellently in near-fine, unclipped dust wrappers, with minimal creasing to extremities and clean, bright panels. The dust wrapper of Dominion has a couple of small nicks to front panel, as pictured. All dust wrappers have now been placed in removable, protective sleeves of archival quality.
