Published to celebrate its 40th anniversary, this special edition features a unique two-handed introduction between the book’s author and editor, legendary science fiction publisher Malcolm Edwards, charting the genesis of this science fiction game-changer with never-before-seen extracts from Gibson and Edwards’ personal correspondence from 1983.

This special, illustrated and limited edition signed by the author and illustrator sold out at the publisher in under four hours. Neuromancer is considered the founding text of the cyberpunk genre, the book that predicted online culture, and remains the only novel to have ever won the ‘triple crown’ of a Nebula, Hugo and Philip K. Dick award.

This book is new in original wrapping, as received directly from the publisher. We have only carefully removed it to check for imperfections. As expected with paper-bound titles, if one is to place this under a microscope, there are a couple of small imperfections, such as the corner of the opening flap of the clamshell not having a completely straight corner (photo 9), as well as a barely perceptible bump to the lower part of the front cover of the book itself (photo 13). That being said, this is a fine book for all intents and purposes, and one would be seriously challenged to find a paper-bound example that is free of any fault.
