Each volume signed by the illustrator Neil Packer and personally (and rather humorously) dedicated to Folio Society's Former Production Director Joseph Wilfrid Whitlock-Blundell, with Mr Whitlock-Blundell's ex-libris bookplate affixed to half-titles. Accompanied by an original broadside published by the Poem-of-the-Month Club in 1970 featuring Graves' previously-unpublished poem "Advice from a Mother", signed by the author. Introduction by Allan Massie, illustrations by Neil Packer. 252 × 160 × 32 mm. Pp. [i–vi] vii–xviii, 1–349 [350]: [8] leaves of colour plates (facing pp. [iii], 46, 63, 126, 143, 206, 223 and 303). Type: Centaur and Arrighi. Printed and bound by the Bath Press. Full green buckram with a repeat pattern in gold by Packer; cream endleaves with a genealogical table in green by Denys Baker. Green slip case. Condition: A near-fine copy, with binding square and firm, and pages clean and uninscribed; in a very good slipcase with a narrow discolouration strip around the opening and a little shelf-wear.

Full purple buckram with a pattern in gold by Packer; pale grey endleaves with a genealogical table in dark blue by Denys Baker. Dark blue slip case. There is a map by Denys Baker on page [vi]. Condition: A near-fine copy, with binding square and firm, and pages clean and uninscribed; in a very good slipcase with a narrow discolouration strip around the opening and a little shelf-wear.

Publisher's original broadside featuring Graves' previously-unpublished poem "Advice from a Mother", one of 1,000 copies signed by the author. Condition: Two small brown spots to left part of text frame on an otherwise fine sheet. During the period 1970-77 the Poem-of-the-Month Club issued an unpublished poem by one of its members each month. The first one thousand copies of each poem were signed personally by hand.
