An intriguing mystery novel by Agatha Christie, with a story set in a London hostel, where a series of seemingly trivial thefts escalate into a murder. Hercule Poirot is called in to investigate, and he discovers that there may be more to the crimes than meets the eye. As Poirot delves into the lives of the hostel's residents, he uncovers a tangle of personal relationships, hidden motives, and long-buried secrets. The novel explores themes of psychology and human behavior, and as the detective puts together the pieces of the puzzle, the true nature of the crimes becomes clear. "Hickory Dickory Dock" is celebrated for its intricate plotting and engaging characters, showcasing Agatha Christie's mastery of the mystery genre.
Publisher's original cloth binding with black lettering to spine. Externally in very good condition with a little darkening to extremities. Bumping to foot of spine. Joints are strong and pages well bound, with text block showing a light lean. Foxing to edges and sporadically throughout, primarily contained to the upper extremities of the first third of the book (unaffecting text). Offsetting and penciled inscriptions to both front and rear FEPs. Else very good. In a good, unclipped dust wrapper with panels that are a little grubby and darkened, showing a few foxing spots and a little nibbling to extremities. The spine is rather sunned. The dust wrapper has now been placed in a removable, protective sleeve of archival quality.
