he following has been translated from the affixed limitation bookplate on the FFEP with the help of Google Translate. Our apologies in advance to Welsh speakers for any (likely!) errors: "Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood was translated into Welsh at the request of the Drama Committee of Carmarthenshire County Council. It was first staged in Talacharn by the Talacharn Players on August 4th, 1967. This volume was printed in Llandysul where Gwilym Marles, brother of Dylan Thomas' grandfather, was a minister and kept a school. John David Lewis, the founder of Gwasg Gomer, was a pupil at Ysgol Gwilym Marles. Two hundred and fifty copies of the first edition were bound in Helicon. This is copy 106."

Signed by translator T. James Jones.

Condition

Sized 18.5 x 12.5 cm. Pp. 114. Original binding with gilt lettering to spine. Light bumping to spine tips and corners, with binding lightly rolled. Top edge coloured (now somewhat faded). Inscription in pen to front paste-down endpaper, as follows "Dyma'ch arsenic cariad! Jim". Very sporadic marking throughout, primarily a very small stain to bottom of front paste-down endpaper, as pictured. Overall, a clean, bright example, quite rare to find on the market due to the low limitation number.
