Evelyn Waugh, Comedies. London: The Folio Society, 1999. First printing thus. 240 × 162 × 26–30 mm. 6 vols (see below). Type: Baskerville. Printed and bound by the Bath Press. Full white artificial cloth with a design in colour by John Holder; different coloured endleaves for each volume. Dark brown six-volume slip case titled (as above) in gold. The binding illustration is different for each volume. The six volumes are as follows: 

[1] Evelyn Waugh, Decline and Fall, introduction by David Lodge, illustrations by John Holder. Pp. [i–iv] v–xxvii [xxviii–xxx], 1–214: [7] leaves of colour plates (facing pp. [iii], 3, 18, 98, 115, 139 and 178). Orange endleaves. There are monochrome tail-pieces at the end of some chapters. This novel was originally published in 1928. 

[2] Evelyn Waugh, Vile Bodies, illustrations by John Holder. Pp. [i–x], 1–209 [210–214]: [7] leaves of colour plates (facing pp. [iii], 22, 39, 86, 111, 182 and 199). Pink endleaves. There are monochrome tail-pieces at the end of most chapters. First published in 1930. 

[3] Evelyn Waugh, Black Mischief, illustrations by John Holder. Pp. [i–viii], 1–212 [213–216]: [7] leaves of colour plates (facing pp. [iii], 56, 73, 96, 152, 169 and 184). Red endleaves. There are monochrome tail-pieces at the end of each chapter, and a map on page [viii]. The novel was first published in 1932.

[6] Evelyn Waugh, Put Out More Flags, illustrations by John Holder. Pp. [i–xii], 1–215 [216]: [7] leaves of colour plates (facing pp. [iii], 36, 53, 100, 117, 148 and 169). Green-blue endleaves. There are monochrome tail-pieces at the end of each chapter. The novel was first published in 1942.

Very good, likely unread books, with bindings square and secure, and pages clean and uninscribed, with a little creasing to spine tips and a couple of lightly bumped corners. Housed in a good slipcase with a little shelf-wear that is a little bumped and split to rear, but still structurally sound.
