Folio Society Cookbook Collection by Elizabeth David, Jane Grigson & M. F. K. Fisher

This is a large, nine-volume set produced by The Folio Society featuring books from three of the great pioneers of 20th century cookery writing. The set includes:

• the complete (to date) FS collection of seven beautifully-illustrated cookbooks of British cookery writer Elizabeth David who influenced the revitalisation of home cookery in the UK;
• M. F. K. Fisher's classic of gastronomic writing that redefined the genre, The Gastronomical Me; and
• Jane Grigson's Good Things, bringing readers a cornucopia of simple, delectable dishes and joyful writing selected from the early years of the author’s columns in The Observer newspaper.

All books are in close to near-fine condition with nice, square bindings, clean covers and edges (with only the smallest, sporadic foxing spots to the edges of Good Things and slight wear to the lettering on the spine of The Gastronomical Me). All books are immaculate within, bearing no previous owners' inscriptions. All slipcases are sturdy, with straight corners and clean, very-slightly shelf-worn panels, with the exception of some marking to the bottom panel of the slipcase for the Omelette volume and some heavier knocks and rubbing to the slipcase for the Italian Food volume). All in all, a beautiful set.
