Details as items 162 and 174, but printed and bound by Grafos. Quarter red cloth, pale blue paper boards; pale blue endleaves. Pale blue two-volume slip case. The two volumes are as follows:
- Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. With forty-two illustrations by John Tenniel. 222 × 137 × 15 mm. Pp. [i–xii], [1–2] 3–113 [114–116]. Type: Bell. Printed in red and black. Bound in quarter pink cloth, blue-green paper boards with six of Tenniel’s illustrations in red. The 42 wood-engraved illustrations from the first edition are printed in the text in red.
- Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There. With fifty illustrations by John Tenniel. 222 × 138 × 18 mm. Pp. [i–xii], [1–2] 3–132. Type: Bell. Printed in red and black. Bound in quarter pink cloth, pale blue-green paper boards with six of Tenniel’s illustrations in red. The 50 wood-engraved illustrations from the first edition are printed in the text in red.

Printed and bound by T.J. International. Quarter green cloth, pale yellow paper boards with illustrations (redrawn by David Eccles) in dark green; pale yellow endleaves. Green two-volume slip case titled (as above) in gold. The two volumes are as follows:
- Complete Nonsense, Lewis Carroll. With sixty-five illustrations by Arthur B. Frost and an introduction by Alan Garner. Pp. [1–4] 5–131 [132–136]. Frost’s illustrations first appeared in Carroll’s Rhyme? And Reason? in 1883, from which the verses are selected.
- Utter Nonsense, Lewis Carroll. With nine illustrations by Henry Holiday and twenty-eight by Harry Furniss. Pp. [1–4] 5–103 [104]. The text and illustrations are taken from The Hunting of the Snark (1876), Rhyme? And Reason? (1883), Sylvie and Bruno (1889), Sylvie and Bruno Concluded (1893) and Other Works by Carroll.
Very good copies, bindings square and secure, pages clean and uninscribed. In like slipcases that a tad shelf-worn, one of which has a shallow bump to rear. A lovely set.
