No slipcase. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith the ex-libris plate of noted cricket bibliophile and collector J. W. (Joseph Wolfe) Goldman to the front pastedown, best known for publishing Bibliography of Cricket (1937) and Cricketers and the Law (1958). The poet himself was a keen connoisseur of the game (though rarely a participant) and authored the celebrated nostalgic cricket poem \"At Lord’s\"—which explains this volume’s place within Goldman’s extensive cricketing library.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe volume is in rather poor condition overall: the boards are stained, marked, and foxed, with the labels peeling; the binding is rubbed with occasional nicks and worn at the corners and spine ends. Both front and rear hinges are completely broken, the front reinforced with archival tape. A contemporary inscription in pen, dated 1917, appears on the front free endpaper, and the preliminary leaves show foxing and offsetting. The text block itself remains largely clean and unblemished, printed on attractive, thick stock in two colours.
