In addition to the plates, there are 12 tail-pieces (one used twice) and the title-page design, which incorporates the main title and imprint in a pastiche of a classical monumental inscription.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA very good copy, with the binding square and firm and the pages clean and uninscribed. The gilt decoration on the rear cover sits slightly off alignment and overlaps the cloth ever so slightly (an occasional manufacturing quirk we've seen several times in this edition). Otherwise a lovely example of this volume, which is increasingly difficult to find in good condition.
