Lot of three children's books, all early editions, including a first:

1. Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, Etc., by Lewis Carroll  - London: J. M. Dent & Sons, 1946. Reprint of the 1929 edition. Publisher's original binding, gilt lettering to spine; no dust wrapper. A worn, good copy, with slightly marked covers and spine, wear and bumping to extremities and corners. Small bookseller ticket to front paste down. Text block is foxed, but clean and tightly bound. Includes beloved classics like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass, Phantasmagoria, A Sea Dirge, Poeta Fit, Non Nascitur, The Hunting of the Snark, and A Tangled Tale. No. 836 of Everyman's Library.

2. Thy Servant A Dog - Told by Boots, Edited by Rudyard Kipling, Illustrated by G L Stampa - Published by Macmillan 1930. First edition and print. Publisher's original binding, black lettering and decorations to spine and covers; no dust wrapper. A worn, only acceptable copy, with grubby, discoloured covers and spine, wear and bumping to extremities and corners, and a little foxing to edges. Both hinges are cracked with netting exposed. Pages are clean and uninscribed, and the binding is slightly shaken. A lovely Kipling story of friendship and discovery told from the perspective of dogs.

3. The Railway Children, by E. Nesbit. London: Published by Wells Gardner, Darton & Co. Sixth Edition. Publisher's original binding, gilt lettering to spine; no dust wrapper. A worn, only acceptable copy, with grubby, discoloured covers and spine, wear and bumping to extremities and corners, and a little foxing to edges. A few pages show small nibbling to extremities, a few have light ear marks. Text block is heavily cocked. A good reading copy, but well loved and worn. Now nearly 100 years old, this beloved story centres on the lives of three children whose comfortable, middle-class existence ends when their father has to go away unexpectedly.
